There is nothing but silence.
The dorms are all empty. The floors are all covered in a thick layer of dust. The desks, the chairs, the dressers… they’re rotted away, leaving behind only faint memories of what they had once been.
Outside, the grass is long, the bushes overgrown, the gardens spilling out into what once was a lawn or a sidewalk.
And there are no people. No bugs. No birds singing. No animals anywhere, no sign that life has been here in a very long time. Nothing but the silence that can not be filled.
But at night there is a whispering in the buildings. Murmurs of a danger that never leaves, messages warning of an unknown fear, and hidden in the fog that surrounds the area in an impenetrable wall, there is something that stalks in the ever-growing darkness.
